Recorded during Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15-Oct 15), FWC Junior, Julian Sanchez, interviewed the honorable Mayor of North Richland Hills, Mr. Oscar Trevino. Mayor Trevino is a long-time friend of FWC. Julian is brand new to FWC this year and does a great job talking about faith, service, and leadership with Mayor Trevino.  OSCAR TREVINO BIO:  Mayor Oscar Trevino was elected Mayor of North Richland Hills, Texas in June 2002 and re-elected in 2004 and 2006. He has served on the City Council since 1999. Mr. Trevino was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He is the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), Ex-Officio Member. He also won the Hispanic Businessman of the Year, Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (2015) Mr. Trevino currently serves on the following boards and committees: Executive Committee Member and Past Chair, Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition (TRTC) Chair, Regional Transportation Council (RTC) Vice Chair, National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure and Services Steering Committee Partners in Mobility Steering Committee, North Central Texas Council of Governments Coalition for Better Transportation Regional Transit Initiative Committee Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) Advisory Council On a personal note: President and owner of O. Trevino Construction Member of St. John's Catholic Church Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus He and his wife Carol have two children and one grandchild
