We are thrilled to get this podcast off the ground and couldn't be happier to have a wonderful conversation with Dr. Julie Neumann as our first ever guest!! Dr. Neumann is a Baton Rouge native who returned to her hometown after completing an impressive stretch of training with a sports residency at Duke and a double fellowship in both sports and foot and ankle. As a competitive soccer player through high school and university, and with the profession of medicine running through the family history, it seems natural that orthopedics became her niche. Dr. Neumann and I discuss her background and its influence on her profession as well as health and exercise in general and how busy professionals, MDs and otherwise, can struggle to fit it into their busy lives. As I review the chat , I can see many places where I need to improve in my hosting duties but I can not imagine having a better guest than Dr. Neumann!
