INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Sunday, December 7, 2025 Topic: DIFFERENCE MAKER_ STRATEGIC NON-CONFORMITY (Part 3)! Memory Verse: "‭‭‭the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God" - Romans‬ ‭8:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬ Bible Text: John‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ 8. ‭‭The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. INSPIRATION: One way to be a difference maker or to show up differently is to know all the rules but be ready and determined to break some, and set in place a new record and standards! Creatively spice up your life with deliberate efforts. When Jesus was on earth, He kept shattering existing records, hence the constant debate with the keepers of the law. He'd heal on a sabbath, eat with unwashed hands, party with sinners, taught with authority, and the likes, that His actions marvelled His generation, who merely knew Him as the Carpenter's son. Do you see how so condescending they tried to regard Him? Yet, He was always ahead with superior actions, reason and results. Then came the day they came for His arrest but couldn't recognise Him until He said, "I am He (John 18: 8). He showed up always beyond the general notion of His identity as a mere carpenter. You're much more than any identity, description or notion anyone would ever have of you. Be ever ready to beat them to their game. When Peter would cut off the ear of a soldier, Jesus fixed it like it never was cut off, thereby wiping out the evidence against Peter. On the cross, one would expect Him to exert His authority but His strength was up under control. He would pray God to forgive them. What a man with a difference! How do you react under intense unwarranted provocation? Jesus shows us a different kind of response. He was different in every way. Hallelujah! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭Sometimes, conformity drowns and hides your shine. You just get lost in the crowd. But choosing to be different would give you the advantage. Choose wisely which you would rather be. PRAYER: Dear Lord, I recieve grace to embrace my unique difference and to make it my selling point. I refuse to buy into the pressure to conform to standards that do not support my values. Help me to always stay true to this, in Jesus name.
