Jesus comes into this city, heals Peter's mother-inlaw and did several miracles and more people came looking for him. The underlying reason he was sought after was so they could benefit from His grace. Everyone is looking for value, and would gravitate towards the right values. In Jesus's encounter with these people, their reason for seeking Him was neither for salvation from sin, nor was it for deep revelational teachings. They sought for the value He brought to them. Men do not seek those who offer nothing; the city or business environment would not open up to you if you're not bringing value to the table. Companies would not seek you if your value-quotient is not relevant to solving their vacancy problem. Value beams your light to the world and attracts a class of people to you. The people who gravitate towards you come either to gain from your depth and wealth of knowledge or they come to reveal the value-gap, that is, the void in your life. This calls for deep retrospection! What are you bringing to the table? At times, this question is asked for all the wrong reasons, but truly, do you have real value you're offering? Can anyone take a chance on the value you're selling and their experience would be worth it? How truly impactful has your relationship with family, friends, colleagues, associates been? If you were absent, would anyone miss you for the warmth and value you bring, or they'd be excited for your absence?
