Episode Synopsis "Building Bridges"

Crossing a bridge over the Thames in London is enjoyable, but unexceptional. But for a long time, the building of bridges was prevented, and London, a growing world power, had only one single bridge - and a lot of competing boats. Constructed explores the stories behind some bridges, social changes and technical innovations, and goes to look for some remnants of the old pre-Bridge times that still exist today.
