Susan is a PK-12 Literacy Supervisor at Saint Paul Public schools. The literacy committee from the concerned parents of ANEW BAM has begun a conversation to discuss a series of solutions to improve the number of black students proficient rates. Only 21% of African American students are reading at grade level in Saint Paul Schools. Only 1 out of every 20 students can read at grade level.
