Episode Synopsis "Will Los Osos become an official city?"

A group of Los Osos residents wants the community to become its own city by incorporating. "I feel like it's a good time with the redistricting that kind of left our community orphaned during the election and not really having a representative," Los Osos resident Kristin Horowitz told New Times SLO. "Now we sort of have essentially no power."Even though Los Osos is currently in SLO County's 2nd District, it was moved out of that district and into the 5th District during the redistricting process of 2021. The people who live in the new 5th District won't be able to vote until 2024. This means that in 2023 and 2024, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Oceano, and parts of San Luis Obispo will not have a representative.
