Episode Synopsis "The Zodiac and Astrology"
The zodiac and astrology have become more and more ubiquitous in the past several decades becoming a natural part of many people's lives or simply a source of daily conversation. It is a subject that is thrown about casually; although, there are those who take astrology very seriously. But where did the zodiac we know and love today come from? And what does a popular attachment to astrology mean for and about modern society? We do, after all, live in a scientific world which has provided explanations for the cosmos and demystified the distant, floating lights that have been sources of bewilderment and awe for the vast majority of human history, and the belief systems originating western astrology are long gone and have been replaced by very different ones. Calendar vector created by tartila - www.freepik.com
