Episode Synopsis ""I Say Again He Has No Face:" A New Reading of Moby Dick"
One of the pleasant surprises I have experienced recently online is learning how many folks share my enthusiasm for Melville’s Moby Dick. It is a book very near to my heart, which I have read, taught, and thought about for years. In the interest of lending one more perspective to the conversation, I will be reading through the text over the coming months, recording commentary on various stages as I go. I hope that a few listeners will be inspired to read along, or simply give new thought to some familiar passages. The introduction to this series is posted below; subsequent recordings will be posted in the months to come. This is a public episode.
