Episode #36 we have Ante Strika as our guest on the Body and Beyond Podcast! Ante started his career as a health coach, personal trainer and Exercise kinesiologist and now is a speaker the best selling author of his book "Heal climate change by healing ourselves"

- The importance of individuals healing their bodies Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually and Posturally
- Why Ante wants to motivate humanity to make a change, when we are healthy the planet is healthy
- Ante's 7 principles:

BREATHE
HYDRATE
NOURISH

REJUVENATE

- “You can think yourself healthy and you can think yourself sick”
- Individual health and planetary health
- 8% of greenhouse emissions is due to food waste - that’s how much food is thrown out.
- What are the key 2 or 3 things that individuals can do to make an impact
- So many people are operating in survival mode.
- It’s not until people are out of survival mode that they can move from I to WE to ALL
- The old wives tale of ingesting fluoride which is an endocrine disruptor. (Ovaries, testicles, thyroid, thalamus)
(Topical application is what is beneficial, not ingestion)
- 90% of serotonin is made in the Gut, not the brain.
- 40% of Insects are at risk due to commercial/ Pesticides used in farming (Losing the volume of insects means our whole food chain is at risk)
-Buildings of the future that have green roofs and “Thermal heat affect”. Green roofs reduce energy requirements for heating and cooling by 50-70%!
- There is a large percentage of the population who are over weight, have mental health conditions and can’t sleep all of which affect overall health.
-Fundamental movements for health;
-We need to be able to:
Squat
Bend
Pick things up
Pull
Push
Twist
Gait: run, walk and sprint
Hang
-Rejuvenate: sleep it’s free!
-Some of the most important hours of sleep are BEFORE midnight.
-Connect: lack social connections; Who Are you connecting with and how often?
