Hello, we're your hosts Athena (Chinese) and Zaira (Indian). Two Asian American high schoolers who are excited to discuss race with you! This first episode is about the Model Minority Myth. This myth is the idea that Asian Americans are more successful across academic, economic, and cultural domains. The episode will include interviews with Asian students at West High as well as information on the myth. We'll discuss how it started, where we see it in our world today, and how it can be harmful.
