The purpose of the Autumn Years Ministry (AYM) is to serve the unique spiritual needs of Christian residents, families, and employees at each of our partnering long-term care facilities where we have established an enduring relationship. This purpose is accomplished primarily through weekday small group Bible studies and monthly large group church services in which the core spiritual components of “prayer, praise, & preaching” (the three essential “P’s”) are regularly incorporated. Furthermore in keeping w/ the “R-4 Christ” mission statement of our church, the AYM seeks to proclaim the love of the Lord our God to all those residents, families, & employees at each of our partnering long-term care facilities who do not yet know, or, do not have a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ. Our hope is that through our ministry’s presence & Christian witness these persons will come to a fuller knowledge of spiritual salvation and God’s love for them. This purpose will be achieved by steadfastly looking to the vision, purposefully embracing the core values, and most importantly, deliberately upholding our Lord Jesus Christ call to “feed His sheep” (John 21:15-17) so that His compassionate love is made manifest in the lives of those we minister to & serve.
