Marina Rabinek, a retired Navy veteran, shares her journey and insights. She joined the Navy because of her name and family connection to the sea, serving as a sonar technician, and later becoming a command climate specialist, handling discrimination and harassment cases. She enjoyed teaching and used mnemonics to help others learn.  Marina's challenges in the Navy included experiencing harassment and witnessing the difficulties of reporting it. These experiences led her to found the Military Women's Collective, whose mission is to decrease and prevent women veterans' suicide by bringing women together in their local communities.  Marina emphasizes the importance of connection and support for women veterans who often experience isolation and a loss of purpose after leaving the military.
