Chantay Love is the Co-Founder and President of the E.M.I.R (Every Murder Is Real) Healing Center. When Ms. Love's brother Emir fell victim to gun violence on March 26, 1997, she followed her mother's lead sharing their personal experience to forge a path toward healing for other families, friends, schools, and communities who lose loved ones to violence. She was asked by Trymaine Lee to attend the Free Library of Philadelphia Author Series event to share her story, and she returned to Evening WURDs to discuss the work that she does at the E.M.I.R Healing Center.
