Josh Sigurdson talks with Mark Gonzales about the historic signals by Wall Street investors as the inflation guage shows prices skyrocketing despite claims that the Trump tariffs would rebound for the economy.
Currently the official inflation rate sits at 2.9%, continuously rising from previous months. However, when you use the same method of calculation from before the 1980s which is far more accurate, the inflation rate actually sits at over 10%. The unemployment rate also sits in reality according to John Williams of Shadow Stats at around 27%.
Of course the employment rate given by given by the government has been incorrect for decades. People need to take into account the Labor Force Participation Rate rather than the unreliable Employment Rate data as the official numbers are skewed. Many unemployed are not considered unemployed after a short period of time.
There are mass layoffs happening across the board as major grocery chains like Kroger have shut 60 locations, set to be completed by the end of 2026.
If people cannot spend money into the economy, then stores can't afford to pay employees which leads to more people being unable to spend money into the economy. This is a disaster waiting to happen.
As global food prices surge in the face of a supply chain crisis, restaurants are bringing back 2008 era "recession specials" which mean low cost items across the board.
Meanwhile, nearly half of US adults say they regularly order from the kid's menu when eating out.
While Biden claimed the economy was great when it wasn't and was rightly called out by millions of people for it, Trump is doing the exact same thing right now.
Some of his supporters say there is a wave of prosperity coming, we just need to give it time. Economic and market indicators do not show that.
There is a concerted effort to devastate the economy in order to bring in a new digital system of money linked to social credit. It is beyond obvious where this is heading right now as nearly every nation on earth begins to roll out CBDCs.
