Stephen King has a great ability to captivate his readers. It was decided to turn the book into a two-part miniseries in 1979. With David Soul, James Mason, Lance Kerwin, Bonnie Bedelia, and Geoffrey Lewis in the key parts, the cast was excellent. The series was decent but nowhere near the book. directed by none other than "The Chainsaw Massacre" director Tobe Hooper. It took several years before they felt the need to alter history once more. As a result, we got a sequel in the 1987 motion picture "Return to Salem's Lot." While the ensemble may not have been as strong as in the last picture, Michael Moriarty is excellent. However, neither of them was very fond of the entire situation.
