When I was given the topic of “How to Pick a Mate for Life” for Love Jones ’12, I had absolutely no idea what to talk about! All I knew was my personal experience in being single and celibate for six years. I was the single parent of two boys, and i had made more mistakes in dating than I’d like to admit. In typical God fashion, I worried and stressed about my message too much and in His time, He began to speak to me ever so clearly about how He wanted me to address this topic. I talk about fruit, ethylene gas and Samson & Delilah. It sounds all over the place but I weaved it all together. If you are single, dating and or want to be married, then this message is for you.
