Happy Summer Leeward! Our Talk Tuesday Series for June is: PRIDE Month, All about LGBTQ+! The whole month we will focus on various topics regarding the LGBTQ+ community and their experiences with unhealthy or toxic relationships. This week our topic is Beyond Labels: Unmasking Bisexual, Pansexual, Gay, and Lesbian Stereotypes.
June is Pride Month! Thank you to our guest speaker Dr. Sara Vogel for sharing her journey and experiences. Sara and Christynn speak out on the stereotypes that they’ve faced in their own ways. Dispelling myths associated with bisexuality, pansexuality, being gay, and being lesbian. By finding ways to navigate coping skills through humor and education. We discuss ways of establishing emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual boundaries. We highlight the importance of self-care, self-acceptance, and seeking professional help when needed. If you are a member of the LGBTQ community, know that you are loved and valued just the way you are. You deserve to live a happy and fulfilling life, free from discrimination and prejudice. Remember that there are people who support you and stand with you, whether it be friends, family, or allies. Embrace your authenticity and be proud of who you are. You are not alone, and your existence is a beautiful and important part of this world. Keep being you, and never let anyone make you feel otherwise.
