Episode Synopsis "The Liturgy of the Hours & the Consecration of Time"
In this episode we discuss paragraphs 10 & 11 of the General Instructions. In these paragraphs we learn that the purpose of the Liturgy of the Hours is to "sanctify the day and the whole range of human activity." We consider what it means to consecrate time and work, how this is made possible by praying the Liturgy of the Hours, and how we can do this practically within the lay apostolate. What a gift the LOTH turns out to be for the laity who have been given a special obligation to renew the temporal order and direct it to God through Christ. Support this podcast
