The narrative of this mix is based around a picture of a landscape that I took recently (which is also the cover art for the mix). The place is Pico de las Nieves in Gran Canaria. I stood there a while back and took this photo gazing out at Mount Teide, a volcano on the neighboring island of Tenerife. With the mix I wanted to get a sense of the expansiveness, connection to nature and joy of being alive that I felt as I stood there, alongside the raw power of nature - the sea, the mountains, the volcano. I imagined moving, with this music as my companion, from my standing place out over the island, across the sea to the volcano and then beyond to the horizon on the other side.
