A South Side Chicago native, Mercedes Burgos has faced many trials and tribulations and adversity thus far in her life. However, after speaking with Mercedes for five minutes, it’s clear that she is someone who will take lemons and create a lemonade empire. A mother of four and a young grandma of one, she boasts a BA in Criminal Justice, an MBA, and a Master’s in Human Resources Management. She somehow found time along the way to write and publish a children’s book: “Meenah the Mystical Princess of Zantel.” Today she is a full-time Realtor and part-time model.She’s passionate about working with her Real Estate clients in both residential and commercial real estate and sharing her own story of surviving abuse in the hopes of helping others. In her spare time she spends her time serving on various chamber boards and volunteers with a wide variety of organizations.
