During a robotic cystectomy, he uses a robot-assisted system to remove the bladder and, in some cases, nearby lymph nodes and other structures. He controls the robot by using hand and foot controls to manipulate the instruments attached to the robot's arms.
Robotic cystectomy has several potential benefits compared to traditional open surgery, including smaller incisions, less blood loss, reduced pain and discomfort, and faster recovery times.
