Listen "48: Slap Shot (1977) and The Sandlot (1993)"
Episode Synopsis
Text Matt & Adam!Sports comedies. Slap Shot exists as a kind of comedy time capsule, but that's the appeal. The Hanson brothers. Inappropriate jokes. Boobs. This movie has it all. Adam asks, who is the modern day Paul Newman? The Sandlot is about a bunch of kids in the 60's who love baseball and worship the New York Yankees. Matt, who grew up in the 60's, loves baseball and worships the Yankees, had never seen it. The Sandlot loves baseball. Matt loves baseball. And I think Matt loves The Sandlot.
