Hello! she said, giving him a polite smile. Her voice was also quite captivating. Another girl, far younger, was standing beside her with a knowing smirk on her face, and it was her expression that jolted him out to his senses.
Hi, welcome to Hill Store, how can I help you? He said with a polite smile. Her smile deepened at his accent.
My name is Sandra and this is my friend, Monica. We were wondering if you can provide us with a map of the area. We are trying to reach Huxty Town.
You are standing in Huxty Town? Didnt you see the sign? He said, puzzled then remembered that the light on the sign usually went out.
No we mustve missed it. She said with a relieved sigh.
Do you have business in town and or were you just passing through? Sam said, trying to prolong the moments she spent in his store.
