Listen "Come, Lord Jesus, Abide With Us - Isaiah 7:10-14 - December 18, 2022"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textHey there! Thanks for listening today. As we approach Christmas, we examine this section of Isaiah where King Ahaz acts like he's got everything figured out on his own, without the Lord. But as Ahaz learned (and we learn), our human solutions will never solve the problems as well and perfectly as God's solutions! He fulfills his promises, whether we believe in them or not. God promised a Savior, and sent one: Jesus! He chooses us every day, He was born to be with us, love us, and forgive us! Forever! If you're local, come on down for a visit! We have Christmas Eve worship at 6pm and Christmas morning at 10:15am.  We are located at 3800 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX 79904 Find us on Social Media:website: www.trinityelpaso.orgFB: @trinitylutheranelpasoIG: @trinitylutheraneptxAnd find our sermon videos on YouTube! 10 Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, 11 “Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.”12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.”13 Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
