Welcome to another episode of Tinsley Park Talks with host Najeeb Baqui, and guest Steve Biggs, who is an independent consultant and board member and is one of the Advisors at Tinsley Park Partners. Steve’s experience includes 15 years with the private equity firm, Hastings Equity Partners, where he served as the CFO for two portfolio companies and provided diligence and transition support for over a dozen companies. To some degree Steve's role was to help build the bridge for the business owner from "owner/entrepreneur" to private equity backed portfolio company leader. Prior to Hastings, Steve spent 11 years with Contact East/Stanley Supply during which he served as CFO and Vice President of Business Development. Following the company’s acquisition by Advent International in 1998, Steve helped complete four strategic add-ons in two years, doubling the size of the business and resulting in the sale of the company to The Stanley Works in 2001. Early in his career, Steve had financial roles of increasing responsibility with other companies and after leaving Hastings in 2019, he worked for Grant Thornton's Strategic Advisory team for a little over a year, finally settling into independent consulting in early 2021. He has an  MBA from Bentley University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts.
