The Working Artist Podcast

The Working Artist Podcast interviews artists and designers about the concepts and inspirations behind their work. Traditionally art viewing leaves us with only a final product, only to guess the artists true intent. These series of interviews, hopes to uncover the stories that make the actual artworks. The first few interviews are of MFA students, acting as an origin story to the project relating to the origin story of most art careers. MFA programs are a right of passage for a lot of artists and I hope to uncover a unifying pattern that has brought all of these artists to this pivotal point in their careers. Cory McKague is creator of the Working Artist Podcast, the newest installation of the Working Artist Project (www.workingartproject.com). Cory is an artist, designer, curator and educator. Through the working artist project Cory aims to redefine art and artist under a universal creativity innate to every humane being. Everyone has the right and ability of creative expression. The podcast will aim to focus on a broad range of people in hopes to broaden and redistribute the idea of artist.
