Episode Synopsis
The book is a collection of a novella and two short stories.
In Amongst the Cornfields:
The plot is centered around a ten-year-old boys’ obsession with a barn situated across the road from his house where he witnesses strange activities from its owners. He ends up befriending the boy who lives there and the mystery begins to unravel, but not without a few diversions along the way -- including a love triangle.
This novella spans from 1920 to 1939 and is situated in a rural part of Ontario (Tweed, Ontario). The story contains a WWI Vet, a school teacher, an Irish Immigrant farmer, a beast and a mystery woman by the name of Gertrude.
