During the 1970s and 1980s, he played a major role in every aspect of the company's development, from establishing raw product suppliers to constructing new stores and developing comprehensive training programs. McDonald's Australia grew to more than 500 stores and 50,000 employees during his time as Chief Executive.Peter helped establish McDonald's in most countries across Asia and the Pacific, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and New Zealand, serving as a founding Board Member for several of these operations. He has served on the boards of numerous listed and unlisted companies, including Westpac Banking Corporation, Seven Group Holdings Limited, and Golf Australia.In 2003, Peter was honored with an Order of Australia award for service to business, education, and industry development.
