Listen "Chapter 1: love is (NEEDED)"
Episode Synopsis
In this chapter, I discuss with Djuan Short, LCSW, CTCP, and C-IYAT this continuation of conversation touches on some potential reasons why there is a romantic separation in the African American community or simply a lack of communistic bonds. The need for love among African American men and women is profound and essential for personal and communal well-being. Love fosters emotional resilience, healing intergenerational wounds, and building stronger connections within the community. Effective communication and listening skills are pivotal in nurturing this love, facilitating understanding, empathy, and mutual respect. By embracing open dialogue and actively listening to each other's perspectives, African American men and women can cultivate healthier relationships, address systemic challenges, and empower one another to thrive. Love and proficient communication form the cornerstone of resilience and progress within the African American community. These thought processes will ultimately propagate the growth of the African American culture. Now is not the time to battle each other. When ultimately (we need each other).
