In this conclusion discussion with Djuan Short, LCSW, CTCP, C-IYAT we finish tackling the tough conversation of what is causing the separation romantically in the African American community. The separation conversations that have been taking place since the days of the Oprah Winfrey show have destroyed the lasting relationships that once existed among African Americans. Now there is a conversation about "passport bros" or chasing zaddy (swirling). It has got so bad that we no longer see each other as an emotionally viable option. These thought processes will ultimately destroy what we use to know as African American culture. We need each other....
