We desperately want others to like us when we don't think we are good enough. Because when we feel like someone likes us, for a moment we feel okay.
The problem is, that moment passes.
Then we're waiting for the next hit of being liked so we can again, for a moment feel okay.
It becomes a vicious cycle repeating over and over again. We are constantly on the lookout for love, approval and acceptance like an addict looks for drugs. Hence the term, "Approval Junkie".
Sweet, sweet sisters and brothers, You're looking for love, approval and acceptance in all the wrong places. In this episode, I talk about why we want to be liked and how we can loosen the grip of looking for love and approval outside ourselves.
