This week's episode is about demonstrating the love of God to the world around us. Demonstrating love is not about "something we have to do." It is not even something we do because the other person deserves it. And...we don't just demonstrate love to the ones that are "easy to love," or the ones we get along with. Love is not some passive statement. Love covers, love honors, love esteems others better than oneself. We love because He first loved us. He loved us while we were yet sinners. He is Love, and we are made in His image. Therefore, we are made in the very image of Love Himself. Jesus said, "By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35). The church of Jesus Christ is meant to be known to this world, not by the rules we follow, not by spiritual disciplines, definitely not by hatred or intolerance, but by our LOVE for one another. The authentic demonstration of the Father's love is a profound expression of our identity as sons and daughters of God.
