For this first episode of the Rise from Eden Podcast, Steve and Dr. Mike talk about Carl Jung’s concept of synchronicity - of meaningful coincidences - and how experiencing it relates and opens up) toward a more symbolic, interconnected, mysterious, magical, and even a more meaningfully spiritual perspective of the world that is full of hidden patterns. People who may doubt the metaphysical assumptions of a universe linked through psyche could wonder about the implications of believing such a concept, but the best way to understand synchronicity is to really pay attention and to experience it yourself. Other concepts related to synchronicity were also discussed, including the Hindu Indra’s Net, the way the Jungian Self can bring about synchronicities, and how synchronicities can occur in a chain of events where one least expects it (but may perhaps need it the most).
