The first four episodes of the podcast, The Power of Choice with Gerad Kite, focus on fertility and the choices of IVF, egg donation, sperm donation, surrogacy and adoption. How do these choices affect the lives of individuals and families? What are the emotional, physical and ethical implications? How can we make informed and conscious choices that align with our values and goals?  In episode one, Gerad is joined by Sam and Charlotte, who have both struggled to conceive over many years.  Sam decided on egg donation and she describes the journey to that choice along with the impact of this choice on her husband.  Charlotte, who despite wanting to be a mother, has chosen not to pursue egg donation, even though it could be her last option to become a mother, for reasons she explains in the podcast.  At the end of episode one, Gerad reflects on their stories with Django, a young man conceived through sperm donation.  Django’s emotional response will provoke a different perspective for listeners as he sheds a whole new light on sperm donation and his deeply personal experience.
