It doesn't take a Bible scholar to read the book of Joshua and see one glaringly obvious thing: there is a lot of killing. There are numerous examples where we see God gives direct commands to Joshua and the Israelites that they are to wipe out the people of the land they are taking. How do we process commands like this in light of God's goodness? In light of His mercy? In light of His love?
