Listen "43. Who the F**K is Kierkegaard // With Aaron Simmons"
Episode Synopsis
Aaron Simmons, professor of philosophy, Youtube content creator and friend of Tripp Fuller sits down with Tim to discuss how Kierkegaard’s writings dissect the issues within Christianity we are faced with today. Aaron gives his background as a professor of philosophy at Furman, his personal life and the content he and Trip Fuller are creating together. Aaron breaks down the body of work by Kierkegaard and his aim as a Danish thinker. Tim and Aaron discuss what Kierkegaard meant by his pursuit of the self (or existentialism) and how the knowledge of the self was crucial to understand the pursuit of faith. Tim asks Aaron how Kierkegaard would view the intersection of Christian nationalism and Christianity within the AEC. Aaron discusses how we either elevate those in power or are wrecked by those power systems in the pursuit of Jesus.
