Happy Easter! This morning we continue in our study through the gospel according to Matthew as we consider Matthew 10:26-42. In the text Jesus teaches his disciples that they don't need to fear others or even death, but are only to fear God alone and not being in right relationship with him. Jesus teaches that his disciples can live without fear of others because of God's sovereign providence. Jesus teaches that true life is found in self-sacrifice and losing your life. In our time together we'll explore first why Jesus teaches us to fear not. Secondly, we'll consider how we can find life. Thirdly, in light of the resurrection of Jesus, we'll see how Jesus is totally trustworthy. Disciples of Jesus can truly live without fear of others or death and find everlasting life in Him.
