Jelena Madzarevic is a building and material sciences specialist at EllisDon, a very well-known global construction company. Jelena earned her Bachelor of Science from Toronto Metropolitan University with a chemistry major and a physics minor. She then went on to earn a Master of Building Science, also from TMU. In her current position, Jelena conducts design reviews and risk advisements, amongst many other responsibilities in the construction services division. In this conversation, Jelena talks about the many opportunities that chemistry has to offer. A career in construction is quite untraditional for a chemistry major, yet so applicable.
