Listen "From Cynicism to the Blues"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month, Dr. Bacote talks about how life inevitably disappoints and even brings devastation at times. Cynicism is a common temptation when the world goes wrong for us. Dr. Bacote proposes we respond with Gospel Blues instead. We see it in the Psalms. The beginning and end of Psalm 10 are an example of telling two truths: disappointment is real, and so is God's commitment to us. How do you respond when cynicism knocks on your door? Dr. Bacote is a professor of theology and the director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. If you'd like to connect with Dr. Bacote, click on the link below! www.vincentbacote.com/coaching
