Listen "Facing the Wind"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to THE LINK: Bridging Faith and Life with Dr. Vincent Bacote! Every month, Dr. Bacote will introduce listeners to ways they can build connections between faith and life in their ministries and personal lives. This month, Dr. Bacote talks about how we always have to think about the truth of various ways we see resistance to change in the world. Until Jesus returns, no matter how much improvement we see, we will also experience a world where it may seem like things are going nowhere or going backwards. Dr. Bacote suggests we recall the encouragement from Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." We keep giving ourselves to God's work, even though resistance and twists and turns are with us until Jesus set all things right.Dr. Bacote is a professor of theology and the director of the Center for Applied Christian Ethics at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. If you'd like to connect with Dr. Bacote, click on the link below! www.vincentbacote.com/coaching
