Listen "18 Shaylyn Forte: Therapy: Who it is For, How it is Helpful, and Why You Should Care"
Episode Synopsis
Today I'm joined by Shaylyn Forte, a LPC in Philadelphia. Shaylyn's clinical experience includes working with clients who have anxiety, depression, low self esteem, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. She has dedicated her practice to helping clients learn how to better manage their anxiety, depression, low self esteem, and feelings related to life transitions. Today Shaylyn is talking to us all about therapy: What is it? Who is it for? How will you benefit from it? What should you look for in a therapist? How can therapy be affordable? She also shares her own experience of working with a therapist and how that experience impacted her life. "What surprises me is that clients think that they're going to say something that's going to surprise me." - Shaylyn Forte Links: Christie's Website: https://www.sasssays.com Christie's Instagram: @sasssays Shaylyn's Website: https://www.mytherapistshaylyn.com/ Shaylyn's Instagram: @therapy.with.shaylyn Psychology Today: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us Open Path: https://openpathcollective.org/ Episode #2 of the Mom Break Podcast with Erica Fraser: https://mombreak.ca/ep2/
