This series of the Football Firsts Podcast is slightly different, as we focus entirely on past and present players of Southport FC.

In this episode we are joined by Chris Doyle and Marcus Carver.

Doyle started his professional career with Morecambe, before dropping down to non-league, with his previous clubs including Marine and FC United of Manchester.

Meanwhile, Carver took a similar path after coming through the youth set-up at Accrington, making himself one of the most dangerous striker in non-league football.
