Listen "Life's Toughest Years, Part 1 (2018)"
Episode Synopsis
The teenage years are tough. The first test in life for any teenager is conforming to authority. Sometimes authority isn’t fair. How do you handle this? You can react with anger or bitterness or you can respond with obedience and understanding. God puts you through this to prepare you for life. Life isn’t fair. It’s inherent in the sinful nature to buck authority so you must learn how to handle it, whether it’s fair or unfair. “Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right” (Eph 6:1). You acquire authority orientation by being filled with the Holy Spirit and learning and using the Word of God.” Honor your father and your mother” (Eph 6:2). Your parents are one of the most valuable assets you have. God mandates you to obey them while you are under their roof and to honor them for a lifetime.
