To reach spiritual maturity, the Christian must contain emotions. The Christian life is lived through thought, not emotions. “Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus” (Phil 2:5).  If you let your emotions control you, you will lose your direction and be held hostage to fear and intimidation. You go through a lot of pain and suffering because you let your emotions control you. “As a man thinks in his heart, so he is” (Prov 23:7). The power is in thought from the Word of God learned and applied in your life, what we call Biblical orientation.
