In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, Dr. Farmer reflects on 1 Samuel 18:17–30, where Saul’s jealousy and deceit stand in sharp contrast to David’s humility and faithfulness. Through the twists of manipulation and danger, we see how God’s covenant purposes move forward—even when others act with selfish motives. David’s courage and obedience remind us that God’s favor cannot be thwarted by human schemes, pointing us to the greater fulfillment found in Jesus Christ. In The Second Pour, we celebrate a long weekend full of birthdays, tacos for lunch, field trips, and our student-athletes competing in championship events. It’s a day to celebrate the faithfulness of God both in Scripture and in our school community.
