His new book is Drug Use for Grown-Ups: Chasing Liberty in the Land of Fear. Dr. Hart explains how myths about the use of narcotics and other mood-altering drugs have confused the American people about the differences between responsible and irresponsible drug use. Dr. Hart also highlights how a humane and truly free society would allow adults to make choices about the types of substances they put inside of their own bodies. And Dr. Hart shares his thoughts on how racism and white supremacy are directly connected to how American society stigmatizes and punishes drug use.
