The word Buddha means the one who is aware of self, the real self, inner self and permanent self within us. It also translates into The Enlightend One, or The awakened one. Budh in Sanskrit means 'the one who is awake'. One who has fully awakened from the deep slumber, the state of ignorance or darkness.
