In this episode, we chat with Dr. Nate Wilson, a semi-retired orthopedic surgeon from Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Nate is an 8-time Ironman triathlon finisher and many-time 70.3 triathlon and marathon finisher, among other accolades! Dr. Nate was born in Germany to American parents, went to medical school at University of New Mexico, completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, and became Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Ft. Devens, Mass. Dr. Wilson opened a private practice in Lubbock, Texas, where his triathlon career also bloomed in the heat and wind of the canyons and trial by fire at the much-loved Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon! Dr. Nate shares his insights about staying motivated in endurance sports, finding joy in being physically active, and sharing his love for running with his canine running partners. Hosted on Acast.
