It is also a day to remember and give thanks for whose we are and who we are – saints.Hard to believe that we are saints. Often, we hear that word ‘saint’ and think “that’s not me!”. Saints are good people, extra humble people, people who can pray all the time and be so kind all the time, aren’t they?That title, ‘saint’ is something you earn, don’t you? You need to display kindness, humility, prayerfulness, intellect, understanding a cut above the rest.What if none of this was true, except that name ‘saint’? And what if that name, that title, was fully yours despite your lack of kindness, intelligence, understanding, prayer and courage?Maybe being a saint is not what you earn but what is given to you. Maybe being a saint is not being good but being new, day by day. Maybe the name is not something you earn but a title that is gifted to all of us by a Holy One beyond us who truly knows us?May you be ‘sainted’ again today!Pastor Adrian
